Supporters Group
The Brighouse and Rastrick Band Supporters Group (left) is a volunteer group allied to the band composed of people who wish to further the progress of the band. Members are current and former player’s wives, partners, children, Band Patrons and friends - anyone willing to assist with their work is welcome to join the group. They undertake a range of practical activities such as:
- Providing and selling quality merchandise alongside the bands own recordings
- Organise the selling of concert programmes at the bands own concert promotions in Brighouse & Huddersfield and occasionally elsewhere
- Organise the London Weekend for both band and its supporters when the band qualify for the National Championships at the Royal Albert Hall
- Provide a range of catering services for band personnel and the public at the band’s concert promotions in Brighouse and Huddersfield
- Organise and promote general fundraising activities at concerts and elsewhere
In recent times the Supporters Group have made much valued donations to band funds that have enabled the purchase some new percussion instruments, new committee room chairs, new music folders, materials for a new information display unit, secure display cases and many other items.
